2025 SD Bombers Coaching Staff
Born and raised in San Diego, CA, Scott brings over a decade of coaching experience to the San Diego Bombers collegiate summer team. A former player at Canyon Crest Academy (2004-2008), Scott continued his baseball career at Colorado Northwestern Community College (2010-2012) and Southern Nazarene University (2012-2014) before working out with San Diego Padres in Spring Training in 2015.
Scott’s coaching career spans from high school, travel ball, collegiate programs, and summer leagues. He has coached at Canyon Crest Academy (Freshman Head Coach in 2016), Sage Creek HS (JV Head Coach in 2017), and Torrey Pines HS (JV Head Coach/Varsity Assistant Coach in 2018-2019). He also led travel teams with the Trosky Redbirds (2016-2019). On the collegiate level, Scott coached at San Diego Christian College (2019-2022) where he was the recruiting coordinator, hitting coach, infield coach and completed his Master’s Degree in 2021. He recently coached at Southeastern Oklahoma State University (2023) where he was an assistant coach and coached the outfielders, assisted with the hitting. Since 2022, he has been the GM and Head Coach of summer collegiate teams, including the San Diego School of Baseball (2022) and the San Diego Bombers (2023-Present).
In addition to coaching the SD Bombers collegiate summer team, Scott serves as a private baseball instructor at 5 Tool Hitting Center in San Marcos, his expertise is in Hitting and Infield but also mentors players from youth to collegiate levels. His coaching has contributed to the development of notable players, including MLB 1st round pick 28th overall Carson Williams (Tampa Bay Rays) and standout collegiate athletes like Bryce Martin-Grudzielanek (UCLA/USC) and Eric Van Valkenburg (University of Oklahoma/Palomar College/University of Houston).
Scott’s dedication to player development and passion for the game of baseball will continue to make a lasting impact on every team he leads. He’s looking forward to an amazing 2025 summer.
