About the San Diego Bombers
The San Diego Bombers is a wood bat, summer collegiate baseball organization that competes yearly from June to August. The SD Bombers team is a part of the 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, North County Sports Group.
We’re excited to announce that we have been selected to compete in the California Collegiate League (CCL) as an Affiliate team for the 2025 season. We will also be in the Western Baseball Association in San Diego, CA (2023-present). The 2025 Bombers team has been invited to the Utah Marshalls World Series in Salt Lake City, Utah from July 29th-August 2nd. We can’t wait to open our 2025 summer season on June 2nd, make sure you check out our schedule to get out to support.
Established in 2023, the San Diego Bombers provides the San Diego county area with a great college summer team for the community to support during the summer months.
Our home field for the 2025 summer season will be San Diego Mesa College. Make sure you check out our schedule and support our team this summer. The first two seasons 2023-2024 our home games were played at Carlsbad High School located near the beach city of Carlsbad, CA.
Top-level college baseball players play in San Diego every year, giving the San Diego community the ability to watch the future stars of professional baseball compete at a high level.
We have been fortunate to have a lot of talented athletes play for the team over the first two seasons. Some notable SD Bombers alumni are Nick Naccarato (Chapman University), Kyle Harvey (Hope International University), Jason Wright (Montana State-Billings University), Noah Burton (Virginia Wesleyan University), Nolan Sparks (Northern Kentucky University), Zac Farrell (Army West Point), Everette Harris (Appalachian State University), Wyatt Thornbury (Fresno State University), Steven Lancia (University of Texas Rio Grande Valley), and Finn Mcilroy (UCLA).
The San Diego Bombers summer team is composed of NCAA Division I players, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III, NAIA and Junior College players from all over the country.
Competing in the Western Baseball Association in San Diego, CA, the San Diego Bombers finished 2nd overall in the 2024 season, losing in the Championship game 6-5 to NC United. The Bombers finished 4th overall in the 2023 season.
The San Diego Bombers also have a very competitive non-league schedule playing the Santa Barbara Foresters, Utah Marshalls, Palm Springs Power, Havasu Heat, Southern Nevada Baseball, and other great summer teams across the country.
